No. FTRVA is personal exercise training based on homeostatic mind/body training - a subset of fitness that focuses first on postural alignment, stability, mobility, strength, agility & power training. Then we incorporate those gains into your daily life.
Time is an increasingly scarce resource. We all have more things to do these days - and less time to do them. Virtual training offers far more flexibility to adhere to training schedules. The time and expense of a gym and/or having to physically meet in person often cause many to fail. There are no muscles that can't be trained virtually. There are no ranges of motion that can't be trained virtually.
No, but if you are, you’re welcome too! We work with people of all abilities, fitness levels and non-doctor referred conditions in all age ranges over 18 years. People aged 16 and 17 can participate with parental consent.
We start with a phone call to determine if you need to be referred to any health professional and can exercise, usually for 15-30 minutes. Then the first virtual session is mostly assessing the extent of your ranges of motion, movement dysfunctions and discussing with the client the type and frequency of their training moving forward.
Often, yes. Old injuries and compensations commonly drive current pain or limitations. We assess how you move now and build from there.
Yes! Sports performance training was most of my work for 20+ years! There’s nothing better than identifying the faults in your sports mechanics and training them away! It’s a great way to increase power and agility without having to constantly increase loads.
No. But if you get your doctor to write a prescription for exercise, you can use your HSA (Health Savings Accounts) or FSA (Flexible Savings Accounts). This allows you to pay for all your FTRVA training without the tax burden.
